AutoTrader.com offers both internship and Co-Op programs that help identify and develop future talented professionals.


Internship Program

Our Internship Program is designed to identify and develop a diverse pool of high potential talent from select Colleges, Universities and Trade Schools. Students are selected for the program with the objective of completing a successful internship and upon graduation from their program of study, are expected to be competitive for full-time positions with the company.

We offer students a 10-12 week planned practical work experience in their area of study. Our program also offers students the opportunity to learn about the Internet Advertising Industry and fosters positive company community relations by investing in the development of our community’s future leaders.

Internship Program Requirements

All interns must be a full-time student at a College, University or Trade School selected for the ATC Internship Program. The AutoTrader.com Internship Program is designed to provide the Intern with a value-added work experience with the objective of making the Intern competitive for a future full-time position with the company.

The Internship Program will consider students who:

  • Apply through the internship recruiting process
  • Attend one of the targeted schools or are recruited through the job fairs
  • Are graduate students (MBA/MA)
  • Have solid academic achievement (Minimum 3.0 GPA)
  • Have demonstrated leadership and communication abilities on or off campus (e.g. held an officer position in a student organization)
  • Have finished intermediate courses in their field of study
  • Meet the requirements outlined in the job description

Interns are expected to fully participate in the “Intern Professional Development Program” which is developed to broaden the Intern’s exposure to the Company and the business environment. Interns participating in the Program will be responsible for:

  • Keeping a weekly accomplishments journal
  • Participating in periodic check-in meetings with the intern liaison
  • Participating in a one-day field ride-along with an Advertising Consultant. Interns will be required to report on the experience
  • Participating in intern professional development activities to develop and strengthen skills that will assist them in a business environment
  • Completing an intern project and presenting it to senior leadership at the end of the Intern assignment

Intern Work Schedule

Interns work up to a 40-hour week.


Co-Op Program

The AutoTrader.com Co-Op Program is designed to identify and develop a diverse pool of high potential talent from top colleges and universities. Students that are selected for the program with the objective of completing a successful Co-Op rotation for a minimum of two semesters and upon graduation from their program of study are expected to be competitive for full-time positions with AutoTrader.com.

AutoTrader.com’s Co-Op Program offers students a 12 to 15 week planned practical work experience in their area of study. The Program offers students the opportunity to learn about the Internet Advertising Industry. The program will promote positive company community relations by investing in the development of our community’s future leaders.
